Wobbler / Toddler Progran

CCCC has wobbler/toddler programs at both centers (Growing Oaks and Lancaster).

Our programs for this age group offer a wide variety of developmentally-appropriate activities with a balance of teacher-directed and child-initiated choices. Based on CCCC's philosophy and teachers' knowledge of the children in their care, our curriculum guides the cognitive, physical, social and emotional growth of each child. Examples of activities include:

  • Small group activity times - art, science, math, literacy
  • Free choice time - dress up, blocks, drawing, reading, dramatic play
  • Music - singing, exploration of music, movement
  • Field trips to community events and activities
  • Outside play - group games, ball skills, individual play and exploring the natural world
  • Story time
  • Nap or rest time

Learning occurs in the natural context of children's play, with teachers providing guidance and enhanced experiences to build on children's interests. Our programs focus on the development of social and emotional skills, problem-solving and independence.
